WHAT WILL YOU SHARE?

[ RADICAL GENEROSITY]

Radical Generosity is Summit's peer-to-peer learning program designed and led by Summit members. Sessions aim to deep dive into the rich worlds and ideas of other members. This is your opportunity to share your skills and experience the best way you know how.

We have laid out three options to help guide you to craft telling a story, leading a discussion, or hosting a workshop. But don't let us guide you too much, we're open to any wild, wonderful, or even weird ideas you may have to share your skills with the Summit members.

It's your session, so own it.

STORYTELLING

Stories are the foundation for human understanding. It is how we come to know that there are minds and lives other than our own – some reassuringly similar, others powerfully different. Whatever the story, ensure you share authentically, with purpose, and with clear learnings that can be taken away by your fellow members.

ORDER

  • You will have 60 minutes. Aim for 40min story, 20min conversation.
  • Remember who you're talking to.
  • Stay on message and to your key points.
  • Give them something to take away and action.
  • Be interesting, be interested, be cool, be you.

CHAOS

  • Deliver different by engaging the audience with visual tools and anecdotes.
  • Shake it up with props or moments of surprise and delight.

NB: All sessions will be filmed and kept on a secure YouTube channel dedicated to Summit Club members only.

DISCUSSING

Human history has been shaped by conversations. From the chatter of ambling philosophers to the broadcast debates of world leaders and agitators, the furtive whispers of rebellious conspirators to the bold declarations of brave pioneers – the conversations we have define the world as we come to know it. What keeps you up at night? Is there a question that has driven you to struggle for answers? Is there a question that may challenge you to ask, or may challenge the people in the room? Why is this question important? What are the implications of the answers? What other questions does this question force us to ask? Who else has tried to answer it? Who else may be able to? So many questions!

ORDER

  • You will have 60 minutes. Aim to set up the context for the first 10min, then facilitate the discussion from there.
  • Be clear on the problem you are trying to solve.
  • Know what a successful outcome from the discussion looks like.
  • Moderate fairly.
  • Be interesting, be interested, be cool, be you.

CHAOS

  • “Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
  • Lean into the collective knowledge in the room, think big, go grand with the problem you aim to solve.

WORK SHOPPING

Folk wisdom has shown for centuries the great value in teaching a person to fish rather than giving them a fish. Workshops are an opportunity for you to share with other members some hands-on skills or examples from your life and business experience as a fellow founder. The aim of a workshop is to gift participants your knowledge or insight that is good for them, their team, and their business. Create an empowering experience leaving your fellow members walking back into their business with a valuable new skill.

ORDER

  • You will have 60 minutes. Aim to set up the context for the first 15min, then allow an exercise for about 15min, facilitate the discussion from there.
  • Remember who you're working with.
  • Have a clear outcome of the workshop.
  • Ensure you deliver a key take away skill.
  • Be interesting, be interested, be cool, be you.

CHAOS

  • Create a real experience.
  • Whatever the subject, make members truly understand it, show them how to do it, and guide them in knowing it.
